The Town of Dublin, NH has issued an RFP (Request for Proposal) to bring broadband to all residences in the Town (a copy of this RFP may be found at http://townofdublin.org/2019/07/23/broadband-rfp/
Dublin hopes to be the second community in the State to take advantage of 2018 Senate Bill 170 allowing municipalities to bond for broadband infrastructure.
In the late spring of 2019 an RFI (Request for Information) was sent to providers of broadband in Dublin, a requirement under SB170. As a result of the information obtained from the RFI it was learned over 83% of the residences in the Town of Dublin do not have broadband available.
The committee hopes to have a number of respondents to the RFP and a review process will be started in early September 2019. The committee would then present to the Town a request to bond in a timely manner so as to meet the January 2020 NH Municipal Bond Issue.
