The Office of the Chief Technology Officer is currently developing a citywide broadband implementation plan that leverages the best of public and private sources to expand broadband availability and affordability, and to maximize the benefits of competition. This RFI is an opportunity for the broadband industry and stakeholders to inform the City's planning to meet its goals of delivering ubiquitous gigabit internet service to all New Yorkers at affordable prices in the near future, without significant disparities among neighborhoods or compromises to individual privacy.
