Important 2020 Fiber Connect Update

Moving to Virtual Experience for December 14-16

September 14, 2020

Dear Members and Colleagues,

The Board of Directors of the Fiber Broadband Association and I have been closely monitoring the state of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and assessing how best to ensure the health and safety of our members and colleagues at 2020 Fiber Connect.

In light of the on-going COVID-19 emergency, the latest information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO), and considerable evaluation of the situation and potential options, we have decided to move to holding 2020 Fiber Connect as a virtual learning and networking experience on the previously scheduled dates of December 14-16, 2020.

The Fiber Broadband Association represents a strong community that values collaborative exchange of information, ideas, and innovation. While we are disappointed that we cannot gather in-person, we are excited to offer you quality education and opportunities to engage with your colleagues during these extraordinary times. You will receive more information about the virtual experience in the coming weeks.

At this time, we would like to recognize the members of our Conference Planning Committee. They have worked hard to create a valuable in-person event, and they will continue to support our efforts to host a successful virtual experience this December.

In addition, thank you to our community of speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, and attendees for your understanding and continued support of and dedication to the Fiber Broadband Association. Given these unprecedented times, now, more than ever, it is crucial to work in furtherance of our mission: accelerate the deployment of future-proof, high-speed fiber broadband networks throughout the Americas. We extend special thanks to the leadership and dedication of the companies that have already signed on to sponsor the Association in our virtual experience, including: ADTRAN, Clearfield, Corning, EPB, Kelley-Drye & Warren, OFS, and On Trac, Inc.

Please be safe and well and let us know how we can help as we continue to navigate through the COVID-19 emergency together.
