Community Investment Incentives

Communities want and need high performance, future-proof all-fiber networks. Many are working with the Fiber Broadband Association, state broadband agencies, providers, consultants and other entities to drive investments by potential network operators — be they the local incumbent, a competitive entrant or even the community itself.  Communities are creating a compendium of best practices which the Fiber Broadband Association will track and make available.

Letter to the FCC's Broadband Executive Order Working Group providing the views of the Fiber-to-the-Home Council (FTTH Council or Council) on facilitating access to federal lands for the deployment and use of all-fiber networks. The FTTH Council represents service providers, equipment vendors, and construction companies working to deploy all-fiber networks throughout the United States. These entities often require access to rights-of-way (ROW) on federal lands, and, from our conversations with them, we know they appreciate the efforts of those agencies that facilitate access.
