||Vivek Caroli, Managing Director of Frauscher US and Martin Rosenberger, Product Management Director of Frauscher Sensor Technology will provide insight into existing and potential uses for Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) technology in the railway industry. They will discuss the reasons Frauscher chose to pursue development of DAS technology, its exciting potential and the wide range of benefits this technology may offer. To date, we have only scratched the surface of how DAS can be used to increase the safety, security, and performance of our railroads. Frauscher has dedicated years of research and development into this technology, recognizing how valuable and cost effective it is. By utilizing existing trackside fiberoptic cables buried along the right of way, DAS can provide applications such as train tracking, asset condition monitoring, broken rail detection, safety, security, and much more. In addition, the webinar will also explore potential future capabilities in prevention, prediction, and continuous train localization.
