The City of Naperville, IL Contracts with Magellan Advisors for Telecommunications Consulting
Denver, CO, June 19, 2017 – The City of Naperville, IL has contracted with Magellan Advisors, the nation’s leading broadband and smart city consulting firm, to assist the City and community stakeholders in its Telecommunication’s policy development and strategic planning related to broadband and smart city.
The City of Naperville will work with Magellan’s highly experienced consultants to address government and community needs for an enhanced wired and wireless broadband network that will enable the City to implement new technologies to support smart city efforts, including public safety, intelligent transportation, real-time parking, virtual education and telemedicine. Naperville has continually been recognized as one of America’s top cities. Naperville’s leadership recognizes the importance of broadband and technology for the City to continue to lead the country in quality of life for its citizens.
Magellan’s work with City leadership will develop policies and strategic plans around 5G wireless, leading edge smart city applications, economic development, and enhanced fiber-optic and Wi-Fi broadband services. Magellan’s staff will be working with City leadership, and community stakeholders to make Naperville a leader in broadband in Illinois and the U.S.
