Alianza Enhances Open and Extensible Cloud Voice Platform for Communication Service Providers

New features and partner integrations streamline operations and deliver an enriched end-user experience

The Independent Show, ORLANDO, Florida — July 25, 2016 — Alianza Inc., the cloud voice platform company, announced today new enhancements to its residential and business VoIP solution portfolio for service providers. The Cloud Voice Platform provides a rich set of APIs, resulting in an open and extensible solution that can easily integrate into different vendor environments. Alianza will be highlighting these capabilities at National Cable Television Cooperative’s The Independent Show, taking place this week in Orlando, Florida.

These features have been deployed over the course of 2016 with a continuous and nondisruptive release process, making communication service providers (CSPs) more agile and responsive to market demands.

The recent updates and enhancements to Cloud Voice Platform include:

Delighting End Users

Robocall Blocking

Alianza now supports Nomorobo™. Service providers can promote this service that protects subscribers from fraud, scams and annoying unsolicited calls. Alianza provides CSPs the toolkit and branded online portal for their customers to sign up for this free service that blocks residential robocalls and telemarketers.

Extend Cloud Communications to LTE and Wi-Fi

Service providers can extend their residential and business services to smartphones, tablets and PCs with apps from Alianza’s Technology Partners, including CounterPath’s Bria clients. These clients can be provisioned and supported directly in Alianza’s easy-to-use Admin Portal.

Multiscreen Caller ID

Alianza’s Cloud Voice Platform integrates with mediation software, including MediaFriends, to extend caller ID information to TVs and PC-based apps.

Streamlining Operations

Efficient and Accelerated Onboarding

API integration with West provides new tools to validate, correct and report on subscriber addresses to help CSPs accelerate time to activation and eliminate error for emergency 911 addresses. Emergency addresses can now also include latitude and longitude coordinates to provide better accuracy to responders and support future mobile applications.

Enhancing the integration with Level 3 Communications, Alianza introduced a new local number portability (LNP) tool that accelerates subscriber onboarding during the number porting process, with less variability in installation dates, and can eliminate truck rolls.

Easier Customer Management

Alianza specializes in CSP back-office system integration that enables scale, reduces errors, and lowers the cost of delivering and managing voice services. Expanding on Alianza’s partnership with Great Lakes Data Systems (GLDS), the Cloud Voice Platform can now integrate with BroadHub, an end-to-end customer management and billing solution, for cloud-based or on-premises back-office deployments.

Enhanced Fraud Prevention

Alianza has improved tools to detect and react to fraudulent calls using volume and financial thresholds. CSP operations teams can set threshold-based notifications and events, including automatic disabling of suspected accounts and extremely granular controls, to minimize exposure for high-risk call destinations.
